What this does
Rings back the last person who called your extension, without you having to find or key in their number. Useful when you’ve just missed a call at your desk.
What you’ll need
- A desk phone registered to your extension, set up by us (see Connect your new Bluehubcloud handset).
- Last Caller enabled for your extension. If the code doesn’t respond, contact us and we’ll set it up for you.
Steps
Ringing back the last caller:
- Pick up the handset and dial *149.
- Your phone reads out the number it’s about to call, then rings it.
Seeing who called (missed and answered):
- Press your phone’s History or Call Log key (on some handsets it’s under Menu, or a soft key labelled History). Missed calls are usually listed under their own tab.
- Scroll to the entry and press Dial or the green call key to ring it.
Redialling the last number you called:
- Press Redial (or RD) on the handset. Some phones show the recent numbers so you can pick one.
What you should see
After *149 you hear the number announced and then ringing. From the call history, the entry you pick dials and the number appears on screen.
Troubleshooting
- *149 says there’s no number. Nobody has called your extension since it was last reset, or the caller withheld their number. Check the phone’s call history instead.
- *149 doesn’t respond at all. Last Caller may not be enabled for your extension. Contact us.
- The call history on my phone is empty. Some handsets clear it on restart. Communicator keeps a full history you can search — see How do I manage my contacts in Communicator? for contacts and history on screen.
- I want to see missed calls for the whole team. That’s a report or a queue feature on your phone system, not the handset — contact us.
