What this does

All of Communicator GO’s settings live in one Settings screen, identical in structure on both iOS and Android. This maps out what’s in each section.

What you’ll need

  • Communicator GO open and signed in.

Steps

  1. Open Settings from the main menu.
  2. Find the section you need:
  • General — overall app settings.
  • Phone — dialer behaviour, including which contact sources feed the predictive dialler.
  • Meetings — Communicator Meeting integration options (see How do I schedule and join a Communicator Meeting?).
  • Security — turn on biometric unlock (fingerprint/face) for the app.
  • My phone numbers — the numbers associated with your account, in priority order; add, reorder, or remove them here.
  • Callback — set which number receives GSM callback calls, and whether to force callback for every outgoing call.
  • Profile — your account details (department, email, avatar).
  • Theme — dark, light, or match your device’s system setting.
  • Sounds — turn the incoming-call ringtone and dialpad sounds on or off. This is a plain on/off toggle, not a custom ringtone picker.
  • Video — enable a surveillance camera stream and enter its URL to view CCTV footage inside the app.
  • Licenses — the open-source libraries the app uses.
  • Storage and Media — clear downloaded media files now, or schedule automatic clearing.
  • Feedback — send feedback directly (needs at least 10 characters before Send is enabled).
  • About — app version and contact information.

What you should see

Each section’s changes apply as soon as you set them — no restart needed, unlike some Communicator Desktop settings.

Troubleshooting

  • You want a custom ringtone, not just on/off. Not available in this version — Sounds only turns the default ringtone and dialpad sounds on or off.
  • Not sure whether to Sign Out or Quit. Sign Out clears your profile and asks for your password again next time. Quit just closes the app — your profile and settings stay, no password needed next time, though push notifications are briefly disabled until you reopen it.
  • The predictive dialler suggests the wrong contacts. Check Phone > Dialer contacts sources — it controls which contact sources feed suggestions.
