What this does

Adds credits to your Business Insights account — either a one-off pack, or an automatic top-up that buys more whenever your balance drops below a level you set, so the weekly report never stops for want of credits.

What you’ll need

  • A Business Insights login.
  • A payment card. The card is saved on the Buy Credits page and used for packs and top-ups.

Steps

Buying a pack:

  1. Choose Buy Credits from the top menu.
  2. Under Buy credits, pick a pack and click Choose. Each pack shows the number of credits and the price.
  3. If you haven’t saved a card yet, enter it and click Save Card; to change the card on file, click Update Card.
  4. Confirm the purchase. The credits appear in your balance and as a Purchase line under Credit history.

Setting up auto top-up:

  1. On the same page, under Auto top-up, turn it on.
  2. Set When balance drops below — the number of credits that triggers a top-up. A good starting point is a week’s usage (see How do credits work in Business Insights?).
  3. Set Automatically buy — the amount to buy each time.
  4. Click Save Settings.

What you should see

After a purchase, your Credit balance on the dashboard rises by the pack size. With auto top-up on, a Purchase line appears in the history each time your balance crosses the threshold, and weekly reports keep running without you doing anything.

Troubleshooting

  • The purchase didn’t go through. Check the card details under Update Card and try again. If it fails twice, contact us — we can add credits for you while it’s sorted out.
  • Auto top-up didn’t trigger. Make sure it’s turned on and Save Settings was clicked, and that the threshold is above zero. It runs when a weekly report takes your balance below the threshold, not the moment you set it.
  • I want to stop auto top-up. Turn it off under Auto top-up and click Save Settings. Credits already bought stay on the account — they never expire.
  • I need an invoice. Contact us and we’ll send one for any purchase.
